Virginia photographs, 1860-1901.

The collection contains an 1860s photograph of Edmund Berkeley of Virginia, W.S. Mason of Alabama and George Spiller of Virginia by photographer H.B. Hillyer of Austin, Texas, and a photograph of Patsy Harden, an ex-slave of Staunton, Va. There are also two undated photographs by Charles L. Maury of Salem, Va., of two scenes near Red Sulphur Springs, Roanoke;and two photographs, 1901, by M. Miley and Sons, Lexington, Va., of Natural Bridge, Va., including one of the railroad crossing and post office.
